Colorado Springs Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a bank in downtown Colorado Springs.
It happened around 8:50 a.m. at Colorado Capital Bank at 2 South Cascade. The suspect showed a handgun and demanded cash.
Police said he left with no money, he apparently was "spooked" by something and ran out of the bank heading north.
Police describe him as white, about 5'8" tall and wearing all black clothing.
There were nine bank robberies in Colorado Springs last year.
