Shortly before 4:00 am Sunday morning Colorado Springs Police responded to a local hospital following a report that a man had admitted himself to the ER with a gun shot wound. The victim, who was described as a 27 year old male, told officers that he was walking in the area of East Fountain Blvd and Boggs Place late Saturday night when he was jumped by two unknown males.

During the assault the victim was shot one time. As the questioning continued, the victim would not provide any further information. Officers went to investigate the crime scene, but were not able to find any evidence of the scene described.
