Police release photo of alleged impersonator

Colorado Springs have released a photo of a man arrested for impersonating a police officer.

Jason Doorenbos-Parry, 25, was arrested over the weekend after an 8-week investigation.  Investigators found evidence that Doorenbos-Parry had "cited" motorists for traffic violations and trespassing.  They believe he also "cited" homeless people for being in America the Beautiful Park after hours.

They believe he acted the way a trained officer might act and wore a uniform similar to that of a real officer.

He is charged with impersonating a police officer and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.  Anyone who believes they were stopped by Doorenbos-Parry is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department.
