Pueblo Police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon in an attempted carjacking on the north side.

Around 3 p.m. a woman reported a man had tried to force his way into her car at 28th and Grand. She was able to get away and call Police. Officers found a man matching the description about three blocks away at the intersection of 29th and Elizabeth in a grassy parkway. Officers reported he held up his hand and claimed to have a grenade. They formed a perimeter and then one of them used a taser on the suspect. He fell face down in a parkway. He didn't have an explosive device. It was simply a small black box.

He was later identified as 41 year old Larry Harris of Pueblo. He was arrested on the attempted carjacking charge as well as several other counts related to the arrest.
