LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - Loveland police say they've received hundreds of calls from people who say their credit cards are being used fraudulently.

Police say they've received 600 complaints from people recently who say their cards have been used across the country and in England, Canada and South Africa. KMGT-TV reports that Weld and Larimer counties have also reported increases in phishing scams.

Loveland Police Sgt. Mike Halloran says the fraudulent charges appear to be happening in places outside of Colorado. Authorities are warning people to be wary of callers claiming to be with a bank asking for account information.
