Strikes are expected to continue today across the country.
Hundreds of fast food workers walked off their jobs at restaurants yesterday.
The protests marked the beginning of two days of strikes to fight for higher wages and the right to unionize.
In all, fast food workers in seven cities are expected to join in the strikes, according to organizers.
Among the workers' chants: "We can't survive on $7.25."
That refers to the federal minimum wage.
Workers are fighting to earn $15 an hour.
