Potential break in the missing Dylan Redwine case

DURANGO, Colo. (AP) - La Plata County investigators looking for a boy last seen by his parents in November have found a variety of items during a five-day search.

Sheriff's officials wouldn't describe the items after the search ended Wednesday but said lab testing will be done to determine whether they offer clues of what happened to Dylan Redwine.

Dylan lives with his mother in the Monument area but had gone to southwest Colorado for a court-ordered visit with his father. The father says Dylan was gone when he came home from running errands Nov. 19.

The latest search for Dylan was conducted in the deep canyons and dense forest of the Middle Mountain area, north of Vallecito (vy-uh-SEE'-toh) Lake. It was part of a series of follow-up searches after snow melted this spring.

According to our news partners in Denver, Dylan's dad and mother will soon speak with investigators in La Plata county about the items that were found during the search.

We'll update you if there are futher breaks in the case.
