PPIHC Fans Urged To Purchase Tickets In Advance

Colorado Springs, June 10----------With advance tickets going at a record pace, organizers of the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb are expecting what may be a record crowd for the July 8 race, and urging fans to buy their tickets in advance and take advantage of a new round-trip bus ticket to avoid congestion at the toll gate on Race Day.

"Last year, we sold almost 1,000 general admission tickets on Race Day, and the toll gate opens at 4:00 a.m.," said PPIHC Chairman Tom Osborne. "We want to give fans the best chance to ensure a place on the course by getting their tickets in advance and avoiding long lines at the toll gate."

General Admission tickets are priced at $40.00, a ten-dollar savings on those tickets if purchased now. (Race Day ($50.00), as well as the Family Four-Pack of general admission tickets ($135.00) or $160.00 on Race Day. VIP tickets are sold out already.

Advance tickets are available now at: www.ppihc.com

The bus transportation begins at the Colorado Springs World Arena parking lot starting at 6:10 a.m., with a return after the race to the same location.
