Preschool program at Cheyenne Mountain State Park

If you're seeking a way to help your preschooler get closer to nature, Cheyenne Mountain State Park in Colorado Springs has a series of programs called Kids Konnecting with Nature geared for three to five year-olds.

Children and their parents will explore nature-themed topics through stories, puppet shows, guided investigations, take-home crafts and outdoor activities. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations are required for the Tuesday and Thursday programs. Call the Visitor Center at 719 576-2016 to register. The programs are one hour long and start at 9:30 a.m.
