President Obama wants highway bill extended

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is urging Congress to pass an extension of a federal highway bill that expires at the end of September. Obama says failing to extend the bill would cause 4,000 workers to be furloughed without pay immediately, and could lead to 1 million workers losing their jobs over the next year.
