Pueblo City Schools (District 60) has made a decision to continue serving breakfast at its schools.
Recently the state legislature decided not to provide additional funding for the Start Smart breakfast program, in order to save money.
The funding decrease takes affect in April.
Jill Kidd, Director of Nutrition Services at Pueblo City Schools stated, "We are disappointed that the request to increase funding for this program for the current school year was denied, and we appreciate the funding we have received through the program in the past two years."
