It's a celebration of both the old and the new today at Pueblo Community College.
The Student Center building first opened in 1960, but today there was a grand reopening for its new renovations and expansions.
According to student input, new areas were included like a rec room, quiet study area, and welcome center for all student information.
For many, the best part of the renovation was when construction crews found a time capsule in one of the walls from 1960.
"I guess it was planned some years ago, but it's nothing that we anticipated," said Francisco Cervantes, ASG President at PCC. "If we didn't go through the renovations, I think it'd still be hidden somewhere in the building, so I think that's the most exciting part about it is how it was found."
The capsule was filled with all kinds of documents from a list of all faculty, to a yearbook and class schedules.
