The Big Apple has the ball drop on New Year's Eve--Pueblo raises a giant chili pepper.
The annual celebration takes place in downtown Pueblo at the Union Depot on B street. At midnight party goers countdown to the new year, as workers hoist an 8-foot chili to the top of a clock tower.
The outdoor event is free. However, the pre-celebration dinner at the depot is sold out.
