Pueblo shooting leaves one injured, two in custody

A Pueblo man sustained wounds to the abdomen and an arm in a shooting in broad daylight Saturday morning.  It happened around 11:10 a.m. near the intersection of East 9th Street and North La Crosse Avenue, near Mitchell Park on Pueblo's east side.  Pueblo police say shots were fired at a home in that area and witnesses told them the shots may have come from a gold-colored Chevrolet Impala driving by.  Witnesses described two or three people inside the vehicle.  The injured man was taken to Parkview Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  His condition was not revealed Saturday afternoon.  A short search for the suspects led to Interstate 25 near Pikes Peak International Raceway, about halfway between Pueblo and Colorado Springs, where the gold Impala was pulled over by troopers with Colorado State Patrol and two people were taken into custody.  The identities of the parties involved and other details of the shooting were not released by Pueblo police.
