First fire, then ice. Cold weather may have helped Pueblo firefighters gain the upper hand on warehouse fire, which has been burning since Sunday.
Today, parts of the old Alpha Beta Meat Packing plant are now covered with icicles. Firefighters say they've sprayed millions of gallons of water on the building to get that fire out. We're told heavy cork insulation is still smoldering inside. However the fire department has pulled out its resources, partly because that ice has created a safety hazard.
Firefighters plan to watch the building to make sure the fire doesn't flare up, then they'll start looking into how it was started.
