Showers and thunderstorms moved in to parts of southern Colorado Thursday afternoon. Rain will likely last a few more hours and come to an end early this evening. The latest high resolution computer model data suggests rain will be over in Colorado Sprigns by 6pm -- in Canon City and Pueblo by 8pm.
Later tonight, clouds will start to break and skies will become clear. Lows will be in the 50's for most of southern Colorado.
There should be more sunshine through the day tomorrow. Calling for mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for areas east of the mountains. There will be a small chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the mountains through the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70's and 80's.
WARM HOLIDAY WEEKEND
With the exception of a few showers Saturday, skies should remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy across the viewing area. Temperatures should climb to near normal, if not slightly above normal levels... Highs in the middle 80's to middle 90's. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
