Rain increases in coverage through Monday

Much like Saturday afternoon and evening, spotty showers and thunderstorms will develop across Southern Colorado on Sunday afternoon. The heat is backing off, too, and while Sunday afternoon will see highs in the 80's across El Paso County with 90's along and south of the Arkansas River, cooler 70's and 80's are in the forecast for early next week.

Sunday's showers and thunderstorms will be very spotty in nature, and not everyone will see the rain. The coverage of rain will increase on Monday, but even still some spots may miss out. After Monday, the rain will diminish. By Wednesday the wind and warmer temperatures will be back, and the fire danger will be increasing once again.
