TODAY: A storm is on the way, but most of your Wednesday will be nice and mild. Temps of 56 in the Springs and 61 in Pueblo. This Pacific storm spreads some clouds across the state and some showers across the state. For skiers we'll see a quick shot of about 2-4" of snow for some of the higher elevations. Here in eastern Colorado most of the day will be fairly quiet until late in the day and evening. Now...after about 4-5 PM there will be a pretty good chance of rain and snow showers for the Front Range. 30-50% chance for rain/snow showers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo...80% chance in Teller County and about 30% for Canon City and Monument.
TONIGHT: Snow showers will push from the north to the south down the Front Range. What about accumulations? Looks like we could see 1-2"+ for Monument and in spots in Teller County. Lower totals of an inch or less for Calhan, Falcon, Colorado Springs and Canon City. For places like Pueblo we'll see less than ½ an inch and even less out east for La Junta and Lamar. You might see about an inch or so around Walsenburg and Trinidad by early tomorrow morning.
THURSDAY: As that weak storm system moves out of the state we'll expect much more sunshine and slightly cooler air to slide into eastern Colorado. High temps will be about 10 degrees cooler compared to highs on today.
FRIDAY: Last day of the week sounds very nice with plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures. 53 for the Springs and 58 for Pueblo and Canon City. A windy day as another much more significant storm takes aim at Colorado for the weekend.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Snow showers, colder and unsettled for the weekend! A stronger cold front and storm system will bring snow and cold to the mountains and likely to eastern Colorado! High temps Saturday will be early in the day and then colder air arrives after lunchtime. The storm bringing snow the mountains moves through the region from the southwest and could be enough to bring us a few snow showers by late Saturday and on in to Sunday. Snow showers are looking more likely by late in the day and through Sunday for all of us. 50% chance in Colorado Springs and 40% in Canon City...about a 30% chance for Pueblo. Chances for snow are much higher for the areas west of I-25 and into the higher elevations...including the Rampart Range/Wets and Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Snow showers still flying to starts the Sunday forecast and it will be colder. 30's for highs in the Springs/Pueblo and Canon City. 20's in Teller County.
MONDAY: Calmer, sunnier weather returns to start the new week. Temps will be chilly with highs of only 28 for Colorado Springs and about 32 for Pueblo and Canon City. Temps in Teller County will be in the upper teens and lower 20's.
TUESDAY: Drier weather returning and temperatures will be about 10 degrees warmer...upper 30s in Colorado Springs...low 40s in Pueblo and Canon City...near 30 in Teller County.
