Colorado Springs broke a maximum daily rainfall record on Sunday.
At the airport, 0.50" of rain fell. Previously, the maximum daily rainfall record for Sunday's date was 0.45", a record that had stood since 1947.
To date, rainfall is above normal for the month of July in Colorado Springs. For the year, however, Colorado Springs is more than three inches below normal.
In Pueblo, rainfall is two-thirds of an inch below normal for the month and more than four inches below normal for the year.
