Rapid rise in river level along Fountain Creek in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS --  After the heavy rains in El Paso County, the water levels along Fountain Creek have rapidly increased, according to the National Weather Service.

The levels are predicted to remain within the banks, but the high currents are a safety hazard.

As of 3:45 pm on Saturday, the stage was at 6.2 feet.

It is advised to stay away from the banks, because the fast flowing water and saturated banks are dangerous.
