The South is still an icebox this morning.
Miami tied, then broke a low temperature record of 37 set in 1927. The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning for South Florida through this morning. A freeze watch will continue through tomorrow.
For the first time in at least 30 years, Miami Metrozoo shut its doors because it was too cold.
Residents in Northern Florida will feel temperatures drop to the lower 20s and mid-teens.
Farther north, temperatures in Atlanta have stayed in the 30s over the weekend with lows in the teens. Atlanta's zoo is closed because trails are iced over.
