Remains found believed to be missing girl

CITRONELLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say they have found human remains believed to be the daughter of an Alabama man already charged with murder in the girl's death.

Mobile Police Maj. Kara Rose says search teams found the remains at 9 a.m. Saturday in Alabama, just half an hour after authorities began searching the woods along six miles of a rural county road.

Twenty-seven-year-old John DeBlase is charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of corpse abuse. Skeletal remains found Wednesday in the woods of rural Mississippi are believed to belong to his 3-year-old son Chase.

Authorities say the remains found Saturday are believed to be his daughter, Natalie DeBlase, who would have turned 5 in late November. Police say DeBlase's common-law wife also is responsible for the killings.
