Rembert is lone Falcon on All-Conference First Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior defensive back Reggie Rembert was named first-team all-Mountain West Conference for the second straight year today, according to the conference. Rembert is the first Falcon to earn first-team honors in back-to-back seasons since offensive lineman James Norman in 1998-99. Rembert is the lone Falcon to earn first-team honors in 2010.

Senior defensive end Rick Ricketts and junior running back Asher Clark, along with offensive linemen senior Chase Darden and junior A.J. Wallerstein were each named to the second team. Juniors Tim Jefferson (QB), Jon Davis (DB), Anthony Wright (DB) and Jonathan Warzeka (WR and DB) each earned honorable mention honors.

Rembert led the team and tied for third in the conference in interceptions with three and was second in passes defended with 12. He was a first-team All-America selection by the American Football Coaches Association as well. Ricketts was fourth among the conference's defensive lineman in tackles with 61 and led the team in tackles for loss with 9.0. Clark rushed for 1,001 yards to become just the third tailback in Air Force history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season. The pair also helped Air Force lead the conference and rank second in the nation in sacks allowed with just five.
