Both Republicans and Democrats held their assemblies in Pueblo Saturday.
There were several purposes of these assemblies, but two of the main ones were to vote on certain candidates to be on the June primary ballot and select delegates for future assembles.
The Pueblo County Republican Party held it's assembly at East High School.
Hundreds came out to support their favorite candidates.
Delegates were selected for multi-county assemblies on April 13 and the state assembly on April 14.
There were also hundreds supporting their candidates at the Democratic assembly held at Pueblo County High School.
They also selected delegates for the upcoming state assembly.
Both parties were able to select some candidates.
For the Republicans, Debbie Rose was chosen as the candidate for County Commission District one, and Dan Centa will be the candidate for County Commission District two.
The Democrats chose Terry Hart as the District one County Commission candidate, both Liane McFadyen and John Cordova as the District two County Commission candidates, and both Bill Thiebaut and Jeff Chostner were selected as the candidates for District Attorney.
There are ways for some candidates to petition and still get on the ballot.
