Retired Judge Joe Ulibarri will head the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation for six months beginning in January.

"Judge Joe brings our organization the credibility it has always deserved along with a sense of comfort to our donors that we are in good hands," said Dalton Sprouse, PHEF Board President. "Our board is committed to the mission of PHEF and is ready to do whatever it takes to get our organization back on track so that we can put our focus back on the kids of Pueblo and Southern Colorado."

The organization raises money for scholarships for Hispanic students. Its reputation was damaged when its director was fired for financial irregularities.
