A Walsenburg woman reported Monday afternoon someone dropped a rock on her car from an overpass, cracking her windshield.
Kelly Mallery-Coulter said she was driving around 75 miles an hour when she saw three men on an overpass at mile marker 49. When she came out the other side a rock hit her windshield. She believes her car was targeted because of the Census Bureau placard that sits on her dash. "Nobody else who was travelling under that bridge appeared to be hit by rocks," Mallery-Coulter told News First. "There were several others vehicles that were going ahead of me and behind me and whatever, but they managed to ding mine."
She wasn't hurt, but her windshield will have to be replaced. She was on her way to Pueblo, delivering official Census Bureau documents to the Pueblo regional office.
She call 9-1-1 and an officer talked with the men who were on the bridge. Walsenburg Police are investigating.
