Rockies beat Giants 4-3 in 15 innings

DENVER (AP) - The Rockies blew a three-run lead in the eighth inning Sunday, then watched Todd Helton rescue them with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the 15th that gave Colorado a 4-3 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Dexter Fowler led off the 15th inning with a triple off the wall in left-center. Guillermo Mota (0-3) intentionally walked Jonathan Herrera and Carlos Gonzalez, and Helton drove the first pitch he
saw to left field, allowing Fowler to score easily.

The Rockies stranded 20 baserunners, including 12 from the eighth through the 14th.

Seth Smith led off the 14th with a walk against Mota, stole second and advanced to third on catcher Eli Whiteside's throwing error. After intentional walks to Melvin Mora and Chris Ianetta,
Clint Barmes struck out and pinch hitter Miguel Olivo flied to left. Smith tagged up and tried to score but was thrown out by left fielder Andres Torres.
