Rocky Ford High School evacuated due to bomb threat

Rocky Ford School District Spokesperson Carol Wilson has confirmed to News 5 that a bomb threat was communicated to school officials by a student around mid-day Thursday. Officials immediately evacuated students and staff from the school to the athletic field where parents were eventually allowed to come pick up their students.

At this time investigators are still on scene methodically searching the school. Police and school officials take every threat seriously and error on the side of safety to the public.
