In Eastern El Paso County, roof shingles were blown off of several homes and barn. Some of the worst damage was found in rural neighborhoods east of Falcon.
A strong gust lifted the roof off of Susan Mandell's barn and flung into her garage breaking a window.
Mandell said she was disappointed because she had recently painted the barn, but was relieved that no one was injured.
"The pets are safe, the house is fine everybody's fine, nobody got hurt and that's really all that counts," Mandell said.
A high wind warning is in effect in El Paso County until 6:00 p.m.
