The Salvation Army is hoping you can help make the holidays brighter for hundreds of children in need. They've kicked off their annual angel tree program at the Pueblo Mall and the Chapel Hills and Citadel Malls.
If you would like to help, pick a name from the tree and bring back new clothing or toys for that child. Your donations help local kids who otherwise probably wouldn't get anything for the holidays.
"Many of the families we interviewed said this would be the only present their child would get," said Capt. Maggie Laubach, with The Salvation Army in Pueblo. "And then we leave it up to the parent, if the parent want to say this is from me, we allow that. If they want to say this is from a generous donor in the community. It's up to them," she added.
The Salvation Army in Pueblo says you have until December 17 to make a donation.
