Santorum speaks in Woodland Park

GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum continued his tour through Colorado today, making a stop in Woodland Park.

In a speech to the Teller County Tea Party, Santorum said the healthcare reform bill was flawed and that our country needs to more strongly preserve the constitution and our rights.

After the speech, News Five asked him what specific step would he take to repair our economy. He said he would send government entitlement programs back to the states.

"Send them to state, cut them by 10%, freeze them over the next five years, and give the states the flexibility to operate those program. Throw in on top of that work requirement and time limits. You're gonna save a lot of money and you're gonna get people what they need, which is a hand up and not a permanent dependency program," Santorum said.
