School District-70 in Pueblo County is considering making major cuts to balance its budget next year.
Superintendent Dan Lere tells News First 5 several options are being talked about including closing schools, cutting bus routes and reducing funds for athletic programs.
District-70 says it needs to cut about $5 million from its budget.
A district advisory committee has been formed. They're expected to announce recommended cuts in February.
