A 16-year-old Pennsylvania boy is being held without bail tonight after being charged with stabbing 21 people at his high school in Murrysville, Pennsylvania.
Tonight, investigators and fellow students are left wondering why this happened. The court appearance came nearly 12 hours after police say Alex Hribal pulled out two kitchen knives nearly 10 inches long at Franklin Regional High School and started stabbing people indiscriminately.
"The fire alarm went off and there was blood all over the floor. Somebody yelled they got stabbed," said student Zakery Amsler.
The fire alarm mentioned by Amsler was pulled by a student trying to warn his schoolmates that something was terribly wrong. Just one example of quick thinking that might have saved other students' lives.
