Colorado Springs Police searched a southside apartment complex for more than three hours Thursday unsuccessfully looking for a man who robbed a nearby bank. The robbery took place just after 10:00 a.m. at the Key Bank in the Mission Trace Shopping Center on South Academy.

Bank employees watched the man walk across the street to the South Pointe Apartments. Dozens of officers quickly blocked all of the access points to the property while searching for the robber.

He's described as a white man in his mid 20's to early 30's, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 180 to 190 pounds
