A C-DOT snowplow was hit by a semi-truck on I-25 Wednesday, sending two people to the hospital.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the snowplow was clearing the left southbound lane. A semidriven by Kyle Somers, 21 of Rutherglen, VA was also in the left lane. Somers, swerved at the last second, but collided with the plow with the driver's side of the tractor.
Somers was taken to Mt. San Rafael hospital in Trinidad with multiple injuries. His passenger, Felicia Somers, 18 suffered minor injuries.
The snowplow driver, Ralph Trujillo, 51 of Trinidad, was not hurt.
Somers was cited for careless driving.
