Several local leap year babies born today in Southern Colorado

February 29th only comes around once every four years making it very special for those born in a leap year! Many more babies were born today in Southern Colorado. We caught up with one family that had twins. Abigail and Hannah were born this morning at Penrose-St.Francis Medical Center to Parents Jonathan and Carrie Rolf.
The parents say they knew the twins were ready to come, so why not give them a unique birthday.
"This day is exactly week 37 which is fairly normal for taking twins in a c-section, so the doctor asked us you know, what you think about having a leap year babies, and we thought it would be nice," said Rolf
At the other hospitals plenty more leap babies. Memorial had 13 babies born today, Penrose St. Francis had 6 and there were six from Parkview in Pueblo. Two babies were born at St. Mary Corwin in Pueblo.
