Severe weather possible this evening

Conditions are right for severe weather and tornadoes this evening in southeast Colorado.  A tornado watch is in effect for the Front Range until 9 p.m.

At 5 p.m. there were no fewer than six storm systems scattered from Penrose to La Junta.

A funnel cloud was spotted near Peyton, large hail reported near Ramah.  This storm was capable of producing hail up to 3 inches in diameter.

First Alert Doppler shows the storms as they happen.

Much cooler weather is on the way for the weekend.
