One of Hollywood's biggest and most beloved stars has died.
From the time she was 3-years-old Shirley Temple was an international superstar.
She sang, danced and acted her way into America's heart.
By the time she was 6 Temple had made 20 Hollywood films.
In the dark days of the Depression President Franklin Roosevelt said "As long as our country has Shirley Temple, we will be all right", and Temple was honored with a special Academy Award in 1935.
Her feature film career would end at the age of 21, but her time in the public eye was far from over.
Now known as Mrs. Shirley Temple Black, the former on-screen goodwill ambassador became a real life ambassador to the United Nations, Ghana and Czechoslovakia.
