Shooting at 2 Dog Tavern leaves one dead

Police say a man has been fatally shot in Colorado Springs.

Authorities say officers were responding to a report of shots fired at the 2 Dog Tavern early Sunday when they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name hasn't been release.

Police say they are looking for a dark green 1990s sedan with darkly tinted windows.

The suspect in the shooting is a black male, 25 to 30 years of age, with a light to medium complexion.

He is bald and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

Numerous individuals left the scene prior to officers arriving.

The Police Department would like to speak to those parties to obtain any additional witness information possible.

Anyone who was at the bar at the time of the shooting or anyone with information can call the Police Department dispatch number at 444-7000 or can contact Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP (7867) to remain anonymous.

This is the 16th homicide of 2012.

At this time last year, there had been 19 homicides.
