Shots reportedly fired at border agents near Sumas

SUMAS, Wash. (AP) - The U.S. Border Patrol reportedly has one man in custody and an armed suspect surrounded on a logging trail near Sumas along the Canada border in northwest Washington.
The Bellingham Herald reports the Whatcom County sheriff's office was first alerted to the situation at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday after the pair reportedly fired gunshots when border agents tried to approach them.
