Artwork jumps out of the sidewalk in downtown Colorado Springs on Wednesday, but only temporarily.
It was an early morning start for local chalk artist Douglas Rouse. With a delicate hand and sweeping stokes a 3D figure took form on the corner of Tejon and Pikes Peak.
The art celebrated rhythmic gymnastics and the annual weeklong United States Olympic Committee's assembly meeting.
People flocked to marvel at the mural, which was more than ten hours in the making.
