Hanif Sims -- the father of Genesis Sims', who's body was found in the crawl space of a Monument home in May of last year. -- is scheduled to begin his trial at the end of May. Judge David Miller ruled in Sims' preliminary hearing earlier this month that there is evidence for a first-degree murder charge, as well as other felony child abuse charges.
Saturday marks one year since Gensis' body was found in the Monument home on Century Place.
Neighbors say the details have been awful to hear about. One neighbor told News First 5 that they're trying to move on.
We'll recap a timeline of this case Saturday night on News First 5.
