Singer to perform local woman's song

Country singer-songwriter Lucas Hoge will perform his hit single "How was I to know," a song composed to fulfill the wish of a Pueblo hospice patient, at a private concert this afternoon in Pueblo.

Hoge adapted the lyrics from a poem that was written by Natalie Fognani who has been diagnosed with ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Though physically unable to speak or write, Fognani managed to write the poem using a special computer that enabled her to type with her toe.

The concert will take place at a Pueblo church. Hoge performed the song live this morning on News First 5.
