Single suspect sought in string of robberies

Colorado Springs Police believe they are looking for a single suspect that may be involved in a string of robberies with many similarities. Shortly before 8:00 pm Saturday night a lone male suspect entered the Filmore Liquor store located at 810 E. Fillmore Street.

A witness describes the suspect as a Caucasian male, 20 to 25 years old, wearing dark clothing and covering his face was a bandanna. After entering the store displaying a hand gun demanding cash, the suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money on foot before police officers could arrive.

Police say the suspect matches the description of recent robberies at a Diamond Shamrock and a Circle K store in the same area of town. No shots were fired and no one was injured in any of the robberies.
