Six dead, over 300 missing/unaccounted for due to flooding

The Colorado Office of Emergency Management has updated the flooding impact across our state.

In all, 17 counties are impacted, including El Paso, Fremont, Pueblo and Otero counties. The office revised its fatalities to six statewide, chancing the status to two people from Larimer to missing. The fatality total does include two deaths in El Paso County, although Colorado Springs police have not yet said if a young man pulled from a draining Monday was a victim of flooding.

Through search efforts and restored communications systems, the number of missing or unaccounted for individuals statewide is at 306 as of Wednesday at 10 p.m. If you are impacted by the flooding or looking for a family member of friend, you can register at www.SafeAndWell.org.

12,118 people are evacuated across the state due to flooding. There are currently 14 shelters open, housing 484 people. For a map for those shelters, CLICK HERE.
