Small quake shakes Colo., Utah area

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - A small earthquake was felt in western Colorado and southeastern Utah.
Tom Burrows, who lives near the east entrance to Colorado National Monument, tells the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel he felt a couple of "sideways nudges" that caused his computer monitor to rock back and forth. No major damage was reported.
The U.S. Geological survey says the magnitude 3.9 quake struck at 9:46 p.m. MST Wednesday and was centered about 55 miles southwest of Grand Junction and 55 miles southeast of Moab, Utah.
University of Utah Seismologist Jim Pechmann says the temblor was felt by people in Grand Junction, Colo., as well as in some towns in Utah.
Pechmann says the area was hit by quakes measuring 4.4 in 2000 and 4.1 in 2004.
