All weather warnings and advisories have now expired.
Palmer Divide, you'll see on and off snow the rest of the afternoon into this evening. You could see an additions 2-4" through Thursday.
Colorado Springs and Pueblo will see the showers come to an end shortly after lunch time. However, because of the wind and the accumulations already in place, blowing snow will be possible at times.
Temperatues in the lower elevations will climb above freezing this afternoon. That means for the already high water content from the snow, we'll see even more slush and wetness from the melting snow.
Once the snow ends this afternoon/night, we'll see some improvements for Friday and the weekend. Temperatures will climb into the 50s for many areas on Friday as the sun comes out and continues to melt the snow.
The weekend will be fairly decent, cool for this time of year, but decent. We'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs mainly in the 50s. There is the chance for some spotty showers on Sunday into Monday. The best chance for this looks to stay in the southern most part of the state.
Be careful if you're doing any driving today... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
