Low visibility and airplane deicing are working against airline schedules at the Colorado Springs Airport. The airport is reporting several delays and even a handful of cancelled flights. Assistant Aviation Director John McGinley says all four of the cancelled flights were headed to and coming from Denver.

Reports out of Denver International Airport suggest over 100 flights have been cancelled and hundreds more delayed.

McGinley is encouraging travelers to leave extra early to allow for slower travel on icy, snow-packed roads. He also recommends checking with your airline before leaving for the airport for the most up to date travel information.
