Solar company wants to build plant on front range

Plans are in the works to bring more energy production to Southern Colorado and with it hundreds of new jobs. Helios Solar announced on its website, it wants to build at least one manufacturing plant along Colorado's front range.

The plant would manufacture revolutionary solar units called Suncubes. Pueblo and Fowler are reportedly both interested in the deal. The plant would create roughly 500 or more permanent jobs.

Meanwhile, private developers are drafting plans for an energy park near Pueblo. It would be anchored with a new generation nuclear power plant.
