One man is dead, and possibly two others are injured, after gunshots rang out at a Colorado Springs bar early Saturday morning.

Colorado Springs police say they found two victims when they showed up to the Golden Cue, near Academy Blvd. and Astrozon Blvd., just after midnight; one was a man who was taken to Evans Army Community Hospital by private vehicle, the other was a female that was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the man was pronounced dead at Evans Army Hospital.

A Fort Carson official say guards at the gate stopped the private vehicle trying to get the man to Evans Army Community Hospital. A spokesperson tells News 5 that there were two injured soldiers in the vehicle; no details on their injuries or their identities. The spokesperson says the guards called for an ambulance, but they say one of the soldiers died on the way to Memorial Hospital for treatment. The other was treated and released.

CSPD says their Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. No word yet on what led to the shooting or any suspect information at this time.

News 5 is still waiting to hear details on injuries as well as the identity of the man killed.

CSPD says they'll be giving an update at 1:00 p.m. about their investigation into the homicide; check for updates at www.koaa.com.
